Creating nutrient recommendations is rarely a one-size-fits-all process, which is why we’ve introduced two enhancements to Agworld’s fertilizer recommendation workflow. You can now use custom blends directly within prescriptions (Rxs) and benefit from a significantly enhanced set target experience, giving you more control over how recommendations are created while keeping your workflow simple and efficient.
Together, these updates make it easier to build recommendations that reflect both your agronomic goals and the realities of the field.
Use custom blends directly in Rxs
If you’ve created custom fertilizer blends in Agworld, you can now use them directly when creating or editing a prescription. Previously, custom blends couldn’t be selected as an input within the Rx workflow, requiring users to recreate blends as individual fertilizer products or rely on manual workarounds. With this update, those extra steps are no longer necessary.
When adding an input to a prescription, you’ll now be able to choose between:
- Custom Blend
- Fertilizer
- Crop Variety

Greater control with the enhanced Set Target experience
We’ve also expanded the Set Target workflow to give agronomists more flexibility when optimizing fertilizer recommendations.
While Agworld continues to prioritize meeting your nutrient targets, you now have far more control over how those targets are achieved.
New capabilities include:
- Percentage-based allocation, allowing you to control how much each product contributes to the overall recommendation.
- Manual rate overrides so calculated application rates can be adjusted to match practical field requirements.
- Persistent product visibility, keeping all selected products visible throughout the optimization process, even if they’re not required to meet nutrient targets.
- Real-time recalculations, with nutrient totals and product contributions updating automatically as changes are made.
- Smart warnings before products with zero application rates are removed from a recommendation.
These enhancements better reflect how fertilizer recommendations are developed in the real world, where inventory, preferred products, seasonal conditions and grower requirements often influence the final recommendation.

Designed around the way agronomists work
Taken together, these improvements make Agworld’s fertilizer recommendation workflow more intuitive, transparent and adaptable.
Whether you’re creating prescriptions using custom fertilizer blends or fine-tuning nutrient recommendations with greater control over rates and product contributions, you’ll spend less time working around software limitations and more time focusing on agronomic outcomes.
Both enhancements build on Agworld’s commitment to making nutrient planning more connected, more flexible and better aligned with the way agronomists work every day. These updates are ready to use in Agworld and are designed to help you create smarter fertilizer recommendations with greater confidence.
