Following the recent expansion of the Agworld Android app into North America, we’re continuing to bring more of the Agworld experience to Android users around the world. Our latest Android update adds four highly requested capabilities: Pins, Observations, Templates, and Map Annotations. These features are now available to Android users globally, including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, and Canada.

Together, they make it easier to capture what you see in the field, communicate that information with your team, and complete everyday work without needing to switch devices.

Capture what you see with Pins and Observations

When you notice something important in the field, you need a quick way to record it while the information is fresh. Android users can now add Pins directly to their farm maps, making it easy to mark specific locations for future reference. Choose from more than 20 pin types across categories including livestock, soil, water, safety and infrastructure, customize their colour, and add notes to provide additional context.

Pins are shared with users connected to your Agworld account, providing a simple way to communicate the location of everything from infrastructure and hazards to areas that need another look.

Observations are now also available on Android, allowing you to capture agronomic information, such as pests, weeds, diseases, and field conditions, as you encounter them. Add relevant information and photos to create a clear record of what is happening in a field, which can then help inform subsequent agronomic decisions and applications.

Save time with Templates

Many activities performed throughout a season involve the same products, rates and other information. Instead of entering those details from scratch each time, Android users can now take advantage of Agworld’s template feature to make recurring workflows faster.

Templates allow commonly used activity information to be reused, reducing repetitive data entry and making it quicker to create consistent records while you’re working in the field.

For growers, agronomists, and other users regularly creating similar activities, this means fewer steps and less time spent entering information on your phone.

Add more context with Map Annotations

Sometimes a field-level record doesn’t tell the whole story. A weed patch, pest outbreak, or other issue may only affect one particular area, and showing exactly where it is can make communication much clearer. With Map Annotations now available on Android, you can visually identify specific areas on a field map and associate that information with your Agworld jobs.

Map Annotations can be used to record an exact application area or highlight specific areas of interest, such as patches of weeds, pests or diseases. This gives other people working from the same Agworld information valuable spatial context rather than relying on written descriptions alone.

More ways to work from your Android device

Whether you’re marking something that needs attention, documenting an agronomic issue, creating a frequently used activity, or showing exactly where something is happening, more of your everyday Agworld workflow can now be completed directly from the Android device already in your pocket.

Pins, Observations, Templates, and Map Annotations are now available to Agworld Android users globally; contact the customer success team if you have any questions about these features.
