Preparing a tank mix often means making adjustments on the go. The area left to spray can change, tank sizes can vary, and application rates sometimes need to be updated based on what’s happening in the field.

That’s why we’ve enhanced the tank mix calculator in the Agworld mobile app, making one of our most frequently used mobile workflows faster, more flexible and more interactive.

With a refreshed interface and the ability to adjust key parameters directly within the calculator, you can now make changes and recalculate your requirements without jumping back and forth between screens. And when you’re ready to proceed, those changes can be carried directly into your activity.

Make adjustments directly in the tank mix calculator

Previously, making certain changes while preparing a tank mix meant returning to the activity, updating the information and then heading back into the calculator. Now, you can adjust the tank size, total application rate and total area directly within the tank mix calculator. As you make changes, Agworld automatically updates the relevant product quantities and batch calculations, giving you immediate visibility into exactly what you’ll need.

This makes it much easier to respond to changing circumstances in the field without interrupting your workflow.

Calculate what’s actually left to apply

We’ve also changed how Agworld determines the area used by the tank mix calculator. Rather than automatically starting with the full activity area, the calculator now defaults to the remaining area still to be completed. For example, if part of an activity has already been completed, the calculator will use the outstanding area rather than requiring you to manually work out what remains.

You can still edit the total area whenever necessary, but starting with the remaining area means fewer manual adjustments and helps ensure your tank calculations reflect the work that’s actually left to do.

Convert your activity without leaving the calculator

Once you’re happy with your calculations, you can now convert the activity directly from the tank mix calculator. Any changes you’ve made to the application rate, area or tank calculations are automatically carried over when the activity is converted. There’s no need to return to the previous screen and re-enter the same information.

The workflow is simple from the Agworld mobile app:

1. Open an activity.
2. Launch the tank mix calculator.
3. Make any necessary adjustments.
4. Review your updated product quantities and batch calculations
5. Select Convert Activity when you’re ready.

Fewer steps when you’re working in the field

The enhanced tank mix calculator is designed around a simple goal: making spray preparation easier when you’re out in the field. By bringing editable calculations, remaining-area defaults and activity conversion into one place, you can respond to changes more quickly while reducing unnecessary navigation and duplicate data entry.
