Agworld integrates with Agvise Laboratories

Agworld integrates with Agvise Laboratories

Although soil sampling season is still a couple of months away, the Agworld development team has been working hard behind the scenes to make some further improvements to Agworld sampling. One of these improvements is the data integration with a new laboratory partner: Agvise Laboratories. In the United States, Agvise serves the upper Midwest and northern Great Plains: Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. In Canada, they serve the Canadian Prairies: Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Agvise Laboratories offers a complete line of agricultural testing services to farmers, crop consultants and ag retailers throughout their service area, with soil, plant, manure, fertilizer and water analyses available.

The integration between Agvise Laboratories and Agworld is live and ready to be used just like any other laboratory that is integrated with Agworld, with users able to use the integration for both single-depth and multi-depth samples.

Sampling workflow

Agworld users can create sampling jobs from the Agworld website. Here they select point or grid sampling, select the fields that it’s relevant to and set the measurements (e.g. grid size, sampling depth). Before creating and assigning out the sampling jobs users can choose a laboratory, such as Agvise Laboratories, so that when a sampler completes a sampling job, the laboratory automatically gets notified with the sampling job information and the sample location for each barcode. For more information, see the tutorial below.

Once Agvise Laboratories have processed the samples, the results automatically get uploaded into Agworld. If a user has chosen to process the results for precision, the results can be turned into a prescription after coming back into Agworld.

I’m confident that this new integration will make sampling season a lot easier for our clients in Minnesota, North Dakota and Manitoba by saving a lot of time on processing soil samples. If you require any training ahead of soil sampling season, or if you have any questions regarding the workflow and process, please don’t hesitate to give me a call on +1 724 249 6753
