At Agworld, we know that planning season is one of the busiest and most important times of the year for growers, agronomists and ag retailers, which is why we've released some significant updates to make your workflow in Agworld faster and easier to manage. Creating crop plans will be quicker and easier this year, and updates to our CSV import/export functionality means that bulk product archiving has become a lot simpler as well. Both of these improvements are built to help you save time, and get even more benefits out of your use of Agworld.
Streamlining crop template application in planning
Creating crop plans is now faster and smoother thanks to recent updates to our planning tool. These changes focus on reducing slowdowns and disruptions when applying Crop Templates, one of the most common workflows during planning season.
Key improvements
- Creating crop templates from existing activities: Now located on the activities index, Crop templates can be created from one or more selected activities. The activities can be in any stage of plan, recommendation, work order or actual. For even more flexibility, they can be in any season and be for any client.
- Keep working without interruptions: Applying Crop Templates no longer pauses the interface. You can continue working while templates process in the background.
- Multi-field support: Apply templates to multiple fields at once, with safeguards ensuring templates won't start on fields that already have active or queued actions.
- Clear feedback: A status indicator shows progress, and a completion banner confirms when all bulk apply jobs are finished.
- Smarter controls: Certain action buttons are temporarily disabled during bulk apply jobs to protect data integrity.
- Stable performance: Template applications are throttled with a 3-second interval to avoid system conflicts.

Bulk Product Archiving via CSV Import/Export
In addition to planning improvements, we've made it easier to manage product libraries by introducing bulk product archiving. This feature allows you to quickly clean up unused products across your Agworld database using a familiar and efficient CSV workflow. This improvement will especially be appreciated by ag retailers and large corporate farming operations that have the need to maintain an accurate product database across their organisation.
How it works
- Export: Download a CSV list of your products.
- Update: Mark products you'd like to archive within the CSV.
- Import: Re-upload the file to archive all selected products in one go.
- This process is designed to be intuitive and efficient, using the same CSV import/export functionality that many of our customers are already familiar with.
