The Agworld development team makes many improvements to our platform every week, from small improvements in the background to launching big new features.
Most work is specifically targeted to a subset of users, but sometimes we get to do work that I know will be a hit with everyone that uses Agworld, and our new on-farm weather station integration is a great example of this.
You can now integrate your Origo (Australia) and AgWeatherNet (Washington State) weather stations directly into your Agworld account.
With this integration, data from your weather station including temperature, rainfall, weather conditions (overcast, sunny, etc.), wind speed, gust and direction, humidity and Delta T is now available in Agworld.
Do you have an on-farm weather station from a different provider? This is only the beginning and we're looking to add many more providers to the list of weather station integrations! Contact us on support@agworld.com if you'd like to see your weather station provider in this list.

What can you do with your weather station data in Agworld?
Auto-stamping of weather information on actuals: When creating or converting actuals from plans, recommendations, observations or work orders, Agworld now automatically stamps current weather conditions from Origo or AgWeatherNet on this actual.
Rainfall tracking: Your weather station's accumulated rainfall data is now viewable through the rainfall tracking feature on the Agworld website (not on the mobile app yet). P.S. if you missed it you can now view rainfall data on the web!
How it works
Growers with a Grower Pro or Enterprise subscription can navigate to the Integrations page in Agworld to link their Origo account. After authentication, you can map your Origo stations to specific farms. This ensures that the correct weather station is used for auto-stamping actuals, and that you have accurate farm-level rainfall information.
You can then configure your weather preferences to make sure your actuals are stamped according to your preferences. Once active, weather data stamped on actuals will show Origo as the source. In the event of data from your weather station being missed or unavailable, weather data from a variety of other meteorological inputs will be used to populate this data.
From the Agronomic Snapshot page you can now open the rainfall feature to toggle between Origo / AgWeatherNet readings and manual entries. Note: the totals from manual entries and automated weather station readings don't get combined, so you always know what the source of your rainfall readings is.
Your connected agronomists are also able to see rainfall figures in the snapshot so they're able to use this data to help make better-informed decisions.

Origo and AgWeatherNet data is processed via the Agworld Weather Data Pipeline, which offers standardisation of data across all weather sources, it acts as a quality control filter for missing, inconsistent or outlier data, and gives you enhanced reliability for compliance-grade agronomic records.
Your benefits
Having your weather station data available in Agworld has a number of benefits for both growers and their trusted advisors:
- Compliance and best practices: We all know that weather records are critical for creating regulation-compliant spray documentation. Auto-stamping your application records through Agworld with your on-farm weather station data ensures that the weather information on your spray application is consistent, accurate and timely.
- Efficiency: Skip the manual data transfer and get your weather data imported automatically instead. No more reading rain gauges and manually entering data into Agworld, this process is fully automated now.
- Improved decision making: With the automated weather data import and related rainfall tracking feature, you are now able to make better informed real-time agronomic decisions and seasonal plans to maximise your efficacy and minimise your risk.
How to get started
If you've already got a Grower Pro or Enterprise subscription, you can start immediately by navigating to the ‘integrations' tab in Agworld. If you don't, simply contact the Agworld support team and they can help you get everything you need to get started.
As mentioned above, if you already have an on-farm weather station but from a different supplier than Origo or AgWeatherNet, contact your Agworld Customer Success representative to let us know which supplier you'd like to see an integration with, so we can put it on our ‘to-do list'.
